Indications:

Vaccination against diphtheria. Vaccination against tetanus (tetanus). Acute illness requiring treatment. Recovery period after an acute illness (recovery).

Contraindications:

Do not use it if your child: is allergic (hypersensitive) to: the active substances of Tetravac or any of the other ingredients of Tetravac (see section 6) other vaccines containing any of the substances shown in section 6 any vaccine which protects against whooping cough has a high temperature or an acute illness (e.g. temperature, sore throat, cough, cold or flu). Vaccination with Tetravac may need to be delayed until your child is better; has any active disease of the brain (evolving encephalopathy); has had a severe reaction to any vaccine which protects against whooping cough that affected the brain.

Adverse reactions:

Those listed here are the known side effects. Sometimes people are allergic to medicines. If you experience symptoms of an allergic reaction, tell your doctor or pharmacist. Reactions at the injection site (redness, induration, small bruises). Flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, weakness, chills, body aches. Hypersensitivity reactions, such as skin reactions (redness, itching), respiratory distress, heart palpitations (rare).

Interactions:

An interval to other vaccinations is required. In people whose immune system is weakened or suppressed by drugs, the vaccine’s efficacy to be limited or absent.

Warnings:

Pregnancy and Lactation During pregnancy, the drug should not be used as possible, unless your doctor considers it absolutely necessary. During lactation the drug should be used.
