Indications:

Lincomycin Hcl is indiacted for: Control of Necrotic Enteritis caused or complicated by Clostridium spp, or other organisms susceptible to Lincomycin Hcl. Increase in rate of weight gain, improved feed efficiency and improved pigmentation.

Contraindications:

Lincomycin Hcl should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to it. It is not indicated in the treatment of minor bacterial infections or viral infections. Should no be used in meningitis, Crohn disease, antibiotic-associated colitis, or ulcerative colitis

Adverse reactions:

Diarrhea that is watery or bloody; urinating less than usual or not at all; fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms; severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash; feeling like The patient might pass out; easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness; or white patches or sores inside the patient’s mouth or on his lips. Less serious side effects include: * nausea, vomiting; * swollen or painful tongue; * vaginal itching or discharge; * mild itching or skin rash; * Tinnitus * dizziness, spinning feeling.

Interactions:

The action of Lincomycin Hcl may be antagonised by Macrolids, Florfenicol, Chloramfenicol, Erythromycin.

Warnings:

The patient should be sure to use Lincomycin Hcl for the full course of treatment. If he does not, the medicine may not clear up his infection completely. The bacteria could also become less sensitive to this or other medicines. This could make the infection harder to treat in the future. # Long-term or repeated use of Lincomycin Hcl may cause a second infection.
