The first anterior disk removal in King Hussein medical center

The first operation of anterior disk removal, replacement and fixation was performed in King Hussein medicalcenter for the first time in the Middle East. This endoscopic surgery was performed through an incision less than 2 centimeters wide.

This endoscopic surgery was performed through an incision less than 2 centimeters wide. This operation came as a part of a plan to adapt the most advanced techniques in surgery particularly in spinal surgeries.


The orthopedic consultant at Al-Hussein Medical Center, Dr. Firas Al-Hasban assured that using these new techniques in the minor surgical interventions in the spinal field allows the patient to be discharged from hospital in the first post-op day, as well as to resume their daily activities without any risk.
